I’ve been saving this guy for a while because I like to keep the good stuff to myself – but after some convincing from Jeff and T and seeing this guy absolutely destroy it at Tomorrowworld, I couldn’t keep him under wraps any longer. Feels like I’m unleashing the Kraken…
There are plenttyyy more songs that I could post here, but you’ll just have to go find them yourself – I’ve been following this guy since he started, and I haven’t been disappointed by anything that he’s made so far. Can’t really direct you to a single page that has all of his music, but his facebook page is as close as it gets. Good hunting, my friends.
Not once, but twice today called out by the blogger in chief. Doesn’t take me long to come back from a “sub-par” post and being called an American Psycho (however true it may be). This video looks like it was made by a psycho, but maybe that’s why I like it:

Tonight, one of the best shows on TV, Breaking Bad, continues towards its much anticipated conclusion. If you are not up to date with the show I would strongly recommend DVRing tonight’s episode, calling in sick tomorrow to catch up, and top off your work-free Monday with last night’s episode. That way on Tuesday when everyone’s (still) talking about it, you can be a relevant participant in the conversation. Don’t be that moron who walks up to the coffee machine and says, “Do you think Skyler will find out?” or “I’ll bet that Gale takes over the lab” (she does, and he’s dead; I have no pity for you if you’re not that far).
I’m re-watching episodes from prior seasons as I’m writing this, and appreciating some of the music in here. In honor of this series coming back, here is a sample of some of the songs that I’m hearing as I’m watching. However, for those of you who want more thorough sampling of tunes, check out this 8-tracks playlist.
Season 2 – Episode 9: 4 Days Out
That’s just great music for a time-lapse sequence right there.
Season 3 – Episode 3: Bit by a Dead Bee
Season 4 – Episode 13: Face Off
Season 5 – Episode 8: Gliding Over AllFollow @VonTeeland
The other weekend in Atlantic City, I went to the Beach Club at Revel. One song took an already exuberant crowd and turned them into, well, animals. I would provide pictures, but they may not be kosher…I’ll have to talk with Pel and see where we draw our line.
I got home and did some research on the DJ who made this. His name is Martin Garrix, he’s from the Netherlands, and he is 17, born in 1996. The following questions ensued:
What did his mother think of him using the F-word in that song?
Why didn’t I do that while I was in high school?Follow @VonTeeland
Nope, not the boy band…
Mr. Pellas has asked me to team up with him to publish some hopefully interesting posts for this site of his. My name is Lee, I’m from Detroit (hence, I became an accountant), went to Lehigh, and now live in New York. Now that we’re all up to speed…
Mumford and Sons recently released a video to the track “Hopeless Wanderer” from their album “Babel”. This song was never one of my favorites. Through most of the song it just seems like they’re repeating the same line over and over again. Then one night, probably after performing on SNL, they pulled a power move and gathered some funny dudes for one of the more subtly entertaining music videos in a while. Ed Helms’ face at 4:39 mark. ‘Nuff said.
This guy’s almost a carbon copy of J. Cole – same style, same hometown, same name (almost)… Good thing J. Cole has a very distinctive voice, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to tell their tracks apart. They’re both headed for success… Sheesh, this is gonna be confusing.
So it’s my last day in Chapel Hill for the summer… weird to think that I’m going to be a senior.

Okay, so this guy looks like a total doucher, but he’s actually very talented; his mantra usually involves producing and rapping over a template song. Really neat stuff.
